incluyendo bandas, conciertos solistas, giras
y grabaciones.

Hola amigos,
La Gira Silenciosa
empieza a moverse otra vez. Comenzaré por España y luego
Argentina.
abrazo,
Guillermo Cides

Hello friends,
The Silent Tour begins
to move again! I will start with Spain and then Argentina. If everything
goes well, this year
I will be in Colombia
and then try to do a crazy-europe-tour through Holland, Finland, Poland,
etc.
But before you think
my life is like a "super pop star", let me tell you this: my tours are
always handcrafted.
What does it mean?
That these long tours are possible thanks to the help of the people in
each city that allows us
to organize it in
a thousand different ways: they send us directions of concert halls, they
put us in direct contact with organizers of events, sometimes they themselves
involve in the organization of a concert, or they are musicians,
or simply they are
friends of the owner of a concert hall or bar, or meet Culture Directors
or theaters who would
otherwise never
know of this tour.
In many cases they
are single people who want to bring a different music where they live and
who believe that it is
possible to generate
an alternative culture. If you are one of those people, then we have to
talk.
Thus, with Facebook
and through emails was organized the last tour of 40 concerts and so the
following musical adventures that lead me to the wonderful task of being
part of this strange primitive rite that still persists in our
days: to play music
to be heard by others.
hugs,
Guillermo

Finished in early 2016, all the tracks on this
album were composed on the Tim Donahue signature model electric harp guitar,
which I've been playing for just a few years;
there's also a heavy Chapman Stick presence on the album,
that's an instrument I've been playing a lot
longer.
At the time of writing this text, as far as I
know, this may be the only album to date which features this particular
combination
of instruments - fretted and fretless electric
harp guitars, 10-string Chapman Stick and 8-string guitar-tuned Alto Stick.
I wanted to do something that incorporated some
of the contrasting textures of the different sounds, totally different
playing
techniques and characteristics of these instruments.
The results are quite a mixture in terms of styles of music, the album
doesn't
fit into any one 'genre' exactly - hard to categorize,
a bit like life itself, in that sense, perhaps.
The music, the title, and and the track titles,
mean whatever you want them to mean; to me, that's what music's for,
so whatever you might imagine or visualize from
any part of it is fine by me... :)
Just over an hour of instrumental music.
Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy it. credits released April 14, 2017
